Aug. 6th, 2009 01:44 pmI woke up this morning and OMG LJ was down and for a split second everything was *END OF THE WORLD* but then I remembered I had a nifty Dreamwidth account and all was well.
So today is the day to test out Dreamwidth's crossposting feature. Because it does seem that one day LJ may just disappear and never return.
I'm not a huge fan of George R. R. Martin's fantasy uber-saga Song of Ice and Fire (it's good, just too vast and strangely impersonal for my taste) but the casting for HBO's adaptation of Game of Thrones is friggin' fantastic: Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage and now Jennifer Ehle? Sign me up, I am there. Yes, I am just that easy. ;-)
OMG I haven't told you guys that Tale of the Tomato Plant! Well, last week I stayed a couple days at the parents' house in order to dogsit while they were out of town. The Pup and I had a very enjoyable time. When I came home I immediately hurried outside with a watering can because many of my plants were already wilting. My tomato plant was just fine (seeing as it had already rooted itself into the ground through the bottom of the pot) but it had moved itself towards its nearest neighbor in order to, presumably, suck the life force from it. And this is not the first time the tomato plant has reached out towards another plant in a similar fashion. Frankly, it creeped me out and I immediately tied it tighter to the fence so hopefully it won't get free and wreak havoc on the world.
It's a really friggin' creepy plant. Personally, I blame the MiracleGro potting soil. *shudders* If it starts calling me Seymour it's going down, tasty homegrown tomatoes or no.
Ugh, I have to get ready to go to class. Stupid class. Everyone play nicely and I'll be back soon.
